About Me
I am a composer and producer, based in Matera, Italy.
My music carries a distinctly European flavour, infused with an old-world sense of craftsmanship and a subtle theatrical playfulness.
I compose concert music for a wide variety of ensembles, ranging from symphony orchestra to solo works, as well as electronic compositions.
I co-founded Pianello Studio (formerly Valse Naïve Studio) together with artist Mariapia Di Lecce.
The studio produces short animated films and interactive musical installations (Valse Naïve, their first short film, was featured at the Academy Awards–accredited SSFF & ASIA 2021 in Tokyo).
My music has been performed internationally in Italy, Austria, Germany, Croatia, Cyprus, the U.S.A., and China, including at venues such as the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari and the Stiftung Mozarteum – Großer Saal in Salzburg.
My catalogue is published by Universal Edition.
About My Music
My music is eclectic, diverse, and polystylistic. Whether tonal or atonal, it always retains an ironic spirit and strives to be simply expressive. In the past, I have been described as a postmodern Nino Rota. I am particularly skilled at exploring the relationship between music and movement. This is evident in my music for visual media, but somehow this relationship also manifests in my absolute music, which is often descriptive and evokes some kind of images.
